Crazy! Only 3 more weeks and I'll be in my 3rd trimester! I enter it actually on Thanksgiving Day! (Or, I guess the day before?) Dan and I moved into our new place last weekend and are really loving it. I'm slowly getting used to him bike riding to work each day, though I still make him call me every morning when he gets there. :) I'm cooking more, and trying to get more naps. It's much easier to nap during the day than sleep at night for some reason!
We did have our appt with our midwife a few weeks ago and got to hear the baby's heartbeat. It was very cool, and especially exciting for Dan, who doesn't get to feel the baby moving each day like I do. We've now been to 3 Bradley classes and are enjoying taking that together, and he's very good at making sure I'm eating all I should (I always need to eat more, which is a good problem to have! I love that I get to eat, eat, eat!) and doing my exercises. One of the husbands in our class of 6 couples also works at Blizzard- small world!
No new photos, though other people are starting to really notice the belly. I still don't look like most people do at 5 1/2 months, though I chalk that up to first baby. But the bambino/a moves around all day and is definitely getting plenty big as he/she should, but just keeps tucked all up in there. I'll pop out soon, I'm sure.
Off to bed... I work in the morning, then I'm having the wife of Dan's coworker over tomorrow. We actually met each other randomly at a La Leche League meeting and figured out our husbands work on the same team, and when she called to tell her husband, he and Dan were sitting next to each other at lunch! She's due in a week or so and is having her baby also with midwives, but at the birth center nearby. They just moved here from TX, so we share our transplantation in common, too. Then I have an appt. with my doula, also at my place, which is convenient, followed by a trip to the chiropractor, which I am really looking forward to, as my hip is not enjoying being slept on each night.
Perhaps Dan will read the baby a story before bed. It's so sweet! Dan is the best daddy ever.

21 Weeks Today
At long last, here is a belly photo (or two), taken on Sunday, so I was 20 weeks and 4 days. Slowly getting a belly. Tomorrow is a big event at work (culmination of months of work), Saturday I have an expo for work, and on Sunday we move. I'm taking Monday off. :) God has definitely provided much needed calm and strength for this week, especially today as I was getting really nervous about all there was to do by tomorrow. But slowly, calm came over me. Next week will be a breeze.
We had our first Bradley Childbirth Class on Monday night, and it turns out one of the other dads there works at Blizzard, too! I've met a number of natural and homebirthing wives of Blizzard guys or Blizzard employees themselves. Who would have thunk? The class was really good, though Dan is convinced it could definitely be condensed down from the 12 weeks. It was really sweet to see all the dads, who came in so reluctant to be there, get really into each of the activities and be even more vocal than the moms. I look forward to these classes, and now that Dan knows what I'm supposed to be eating and what exercises I am to do, I know he's going to hound me until I do them! :)
By the way, we were supposed to have our 20 week appointment on Saturday to hear the baby, but another one of our midwife's clients had her twins that day! Very exciting. While we were disappointed, I'm so glad she had a good birth, and once the chaos of this week is over, we'll meet again.
Side story... as I was sitting here at my computer, I kept feeling something itching my hip. I kept readjusting some loose threads on my jeans, thinking that was the source. Finally, I looked under the belly band and indeed, there was an ant in my pants. I cannot wait to be in our new place and free of these ants!!!!!

20 Weeks Today!
20 weeks today! Half way through the pregnancy! It's hard to believe. I don't feel like I've gotten much bigger that I was a month ago, but I'm anticipating my belly will pop out any day. Complaints have been lodged about the lack of photos, but by the time I think of it, I'm usually without makeup or in pajamas or clothes that don't show my belly well. We'll try to get some up, but it doesn't look like very much yet! I expected that since I was so small, I'd pop out right away, but I know I'll be big enough before I know it!
Here's one from when Dan's mom was here a week ago, but it doesn't show much belly, but shows family and pretty ocean. This is one Kristi took in front of the door of our new condo, and it shows a little bit though it's dark and I'm at a funny angle. (The condo is in progress in this photo, hence the plastic on the floor and no switch plate on the light switch. It really is a beautiful condo and we can't wait to see it all spiffed up when we get our key on Friday!)
